A: Most states do not tax workers’ compensation benefits. The U.S. government does not tax workers’ compensation benefits.

A: The workers’ compensation laws provide an opportunity for a hearing if you and your employer, or your employer’s insurer, can’t resolve a dispute. While it is not required, it is a good idea to be represented by an attorney at this hearing.
